Critical to SAS bail out
It was revealed yesterday that the government would give 800 million NOK to the Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) as the airline battels a 6 billion NOK budget deficit.
"The Norwegian government is engaging in anti-competitive behavior", says Øyvind Korsberg, Progress Party Spokesperson on Industrial Policy. "The problems SAS are facing are structural rather than financial and should be dealt with accordingly."
"Instead of bailing out SAS, the Norwegian government should sell its shares in the company", Korsberg concludes.
