- Both Sirleaf and the two other winners are people who contribute to peace and democracy. This trio is without a doubt worthy winners, says Peter N. Myhre.

- I have been fortunate to met Ellen Johnson Sirleaf three times. Two times last year and once this year. I was very impressed by her ability to represent act as a gathering force in a country ravaged by civil war. Peter N. Myhre, who is the Progress Party spokesperson on foreign aid, hopes that Tawakel Karman receiving the Nobel Peace Prize might be a contribution to solving the conflict in Jemen.

- Giving her the Peace Prize is indeed recognition of her work towards peaceful change, says Myhre. He stressed that all three Nobel Laureates are receiving the Prize due to their committement to peace and democracy, not because of their gender.

- It is the actions of these women that have made them Nobel Laureates, says Peter N. Myhre.
