Progress Party Mayor receives environmental award
Mayor of Os, Terje Søviknes, received the award for “local environmental measure of the year” from the environmental foundation Zero for the project Oseana. Oseana is the culture house in Os County, on the west coast of Norway.
“By building Oseana, we have surprised both politicians and businesses. We have spent the last six years working to make Os County an exciting and attractive place to live. The culture house is part of our project to inspire” says Søviknes.

“This is a reward both for Oseana culture house and Os County, and for our willingness to be innovative”, says Søviknes.
The runner-up for the award was Røyken County, where Progress Party’s Tom Erik Hauger serves as deputy Mayor.
