- This is a great honor, said a humble and surprised Jensen, as the Republican leader in Norway, Ken Burton, raised the "stars & stripes" in her honor.

The flag

This gesture, made for The Progress Party leader Siv Jensen is not for everyone. The tradition is that one can ask - in this case, Republicans Abroad Norway, the U.S. Congress, through a member of the Congress to “raise the flag” for a specific person, or a case.

Friendship

From what www.frp.no knows, the raised flag is to be regarded as a gesture and a thanking for the lecture Jensen gave, and as a symbol of friendship between Republicans Abroad Norway and the Progress Party.

The flag and certificate provided as proof of glory are being sent to Norway and to the Progress Party leader, Siv Jensen afterwards.
