Speaking at the Woman Ambassadors Luncheon
On Friday November 26th, Siv Jensen, leader of the Progress Party spoke at a special luncheon for woman ambassadors to Norway. The luncheon was hosted by the Indonesian ambassador to Norway, Esti Andayani.
Jensen touched on a broad range of issues, starting with a brief introduction on the Progress Party, the history of the party and the classical liberal (conservative libertarian) principles that guides the overall policy of the party.
The luncheon also featured a discussion on the need for more resources allocated to fighting crime, the Progress Party`s views on immigration and integration and especially related to the party`s fight against forced marriages, female circumcision and other expressions of practices that threatens the freedom and rights of certain groups of women, also in the Norwegian society.
Jensen also pointed to the recent financial crisis, and underlined that one should use the momentum to reduce the size and growth of the public sector, and that Norway is in need of such reforms in the public sector, and that the public sector can`t continue to grow into eternity.

Buensuceso (the Phillipines), Ambassador BR Sisulu (South Africa), Ambassador Brigitte Collett (France), Ambassador Esti Andayani (Indonesia), Ambassador Sundus Omar Albayraqdar (Iraq), Ambassador Elma Kovacevic (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Ambassador Sigridur Duna Kristmundsdottir (Iceland).
