Siv Jensen, the leader of the Progress Party, attended the 2010 World Forum organized by the U.S. think-thank American Enterprise Institute (AEI – www.aei.org). The World Forum was held at Sea Island, Georgia (U.S) from March 4-7, 2010. Siv Jensen was invited as a speaker for the session “Is the Atlantic Alliance Over”, moderated by Gary Schmitt, AEI`s Director of Advanced Strategic Studies. Other speakers at the 2010 World Forum included former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, Governor of Indiana Mitchell E. Daniels, writer and resident fellow Ayaan Hirshi Ali, Senator Joseph I. Lieberman, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, former senior adviser to George W. Bush Karl Rove and former U.N. ambassador for the U.S. John R. Bolton. The Progress Party is Norway's second largest political party and is represented by 38 out of 169 members in the Storting, Norway's Parliament. The Progress Party holds several important positions within Parliament, including chairmanship of the Health and Social Affairs Committee, the Committee on Scrutiny and the Constitution and the Transport and Communications Committee. Carl I Hagen, the Party's former chairman is also Vice-President of the Storting.
